Benefits of Village Courts

Both civil and criminal disputes up to three lakh taka are settled in the village court.
Disputes are settled in a short time, at low cost and very easily in the village court.
Both the applicant and the defendant can appoint a judge of their choice.
Since the evidence is at hand, the applicant and the defendant cannot easily hide anything.
Due to quick settlement, there is less possibility of one dispute leading to another.
Since the dispute is settled through amicable settlement in the village court, the relationship between the applicant and the defendant is maintained.
Justice is available for a fee of 10/- for a criminal case and 20/- for a civil case.
Appointment of lawyers is prohibited in the village court
